Congress has been working on new legislation that is designed to overhaul current financial regulations. This legislation points fingers in key critical areas across the nation’s economy. Are you kiddin me?
So when I saw that Mike had used Joe Choi's new enhanced Facebook Like button with commenting...
and when I went to my news feed and clicked on the placeholder thumb, and it rendered the audio player widget...
I was thinking....
Damn! Why would I (personally) upload stuff to Facebook, when I could upload to KickApps, then grab a widget and put it on Facebook! That way my friends get the media on demand, but I also get the clickback traffic to the source, whether that be KickPeople or some Enterprise or Small Business customer.
For example, I just uploaded a DJ Set to KickPeople - took just as long as it would have on Facebook, then shared it as a widget to Facebook, and voila! I now have abstracted playback and clickthrough ownership from Facebook to KA or KA customer.
I think if we make it easy for customers to understand the advantages of hosting with us and posting our widgets to Facebook, we grow way more usage. Sure, we take on incremental bandwidth, but we grow unique visitors like nobody's mofo business.
OK so personal stuff should be hosted by KickApps, if it's "personal personal". But all media we want to share with our FB friends and other social graphs, if we host the source on the KA / rented CDN and pages, we have control!

Best thing i have ever done!!
I think it would make sense if we had an internal network for KickApps (like KickPeople) but have certain pages be available publicly, for example voluntary public employee profiles on KickApps.com. This would put faces and real life personalities behind the company, and personalize the efforts we take to serve our customers. Employees could share as much or as little as they want, within certain guidelines. These pages could also crosslink to their other services like Twitter and LinkedIn etc.
It would be cool if everyone in the office had their own re-usable glass/cup from which to drink their favorite beverages... think about how much money we'd save!? and how less trash we'd have around here! Come on vote for this one, would'ja!?
What we need to do is standardize the morning meal by different groups through out the month.

But the lineage of the Lone Star State’s quirky beer-over-ice concoction is a different story. The Michelada—pronounced mee-cha-lah-dah—struggles with a murky past. Perhaps it was invented by a revolutionary general named Don Augusto Michel or came about when the Tecate Brewery encouraged drinkers to rub a lime and sprinkle salt on its newly introduced beer cans to diminish the tinny taste. Even though Michelada loosely translates as “my cold beer,” maybe the name does refer to the days when the drink was made with Michelob. However, despite its questionable background, there’s no mistaking the Michelada’s link to Tex-Mex border culture. When the food is spicy and the sun is hot, it makes sense to keep your beer cold.
The Hotel San José Recipe
(an approximation)
Ingredients:
• A couple of dashes Tabasco
• A couple of dashes Worcestershire
• 1/2 fresh squeezed lime
• dash of black pepper
• dash of salt
• 1 bottle south-of-the-border beer
Rim a 20-oz. glass (with straight sides) with coarse salt. Fill the glass halfway with ice cubes; the denser the cube the better (melts slower). Add all ingredients except beer over the ice, and garnish with a lime wheel. Serve with a stirring straw and beer on the side (add beer to glass per individual taste).
Yield: one serving
